Wojkowa Tourist region: Beskid Sądecki i Niski

Located in the Beskid Sądecki, the pasture has almost 150 hectares! The senior shepherd Włodzimierz Oleksy, together with Marek Kurnat and the help of shepherds, grazes one of the most numerous flocks of sheep in the Polish part of the Carpathian Mountains.

It is one of those shepherd's huts run by a whole highlander family, which gives it a unique atmosphere. A picturesque landscape stretches out from the vast meadows on the summit. The unenclosed pasture, which is surrounded by the forest below, makes it the ideal place to watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Amidst the meadows, grasslands and flowers, you will encounter the strictly protected common centaury in Wojkowa – from which the shepherd's hut takes its name. There are also many other species of herbs growing here. Moreover, the immediate surroundings are an extremely interesting place in terms of cultural and historical values. In the mountains surrounding the village, there are trenches and fortifications which date from the period of the Bar Confederation. It is also worth seeing what treasures are hidden in the wooden tripartite Church of Saints Cosma and Damian built in 1782.
